Segmentation can be effective for various customer types, when utilizing Performance Max and Standard Shopping campaigns. However, it's crucial to have a sufficient amount of data. Generally, experts suggest aiming for 50-100 conversions per month in total for optimal results. Nonetheless, there are different strategies for setting up segmentation and ensuring you have enough data to work with.
You have the option to utilize Channable's PPC tool to streamline your data and manage everything within Channable. Alternatively, you can send your data to Google Ads via a feed or API.
The choice of thresholds for segmentation depends on your specific strategy. One option is to set thresholds based on the average number of clicks per conversion. For ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), you can set thresholds according to your target ROAS, or adjust them based on factors such as product margins. Starting with averages can provide a useful initial benchmark.
You can choose different metrics combinations based on the following metrics: Clicks, ROAS, Conversions, Impressions, Cost, and Conversion value. If you want to use other metrics or more than 2 metrics for a more complicated setup, you can create various rules and define your buckets there.
