Miravia is a relatively new marketplace that launched in the Spanish market in November 2022. Since then, its growth has been unstoppable, becoming one of the most popular apps in Spain.
Although the original idea was to focus on products within the fashion and beauty sectors, they have gradually incorporated new categories, making the marketplace increasingly comprehensive. However, their focus remains on lifestyle products.
Miravia aims to bring together brands, consumers, and content creators in one space, fostering innovation. Among its standout features are the production of exclusive content by influencers and virtual tools to try out products.
With a value proposition centered on experience and lifestyle, the products offered are oriented towards the mid to high-end market. The target audience consists of young Spanish consumers, aged 18 to 35. Miravia aims to provide a unique shopping experience, offering access to the latest trends in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. To achieve this, the platform includes tools that allow brands to customize their stores, special campaigns to drive traffic to the marketplace, and integrated logistics.
Miravia seeks to captivate Spanish consumers with high-quality products and connect customers and sellers in an advanced way. The platform is committed to supporting local sellers and Spanish brands in their digital expansion. Many renowned brands have already joined this initiative that promises to make a big impact, including Disney, Cecotec, Lego, Samsung, Dyson, L’Oreal Paris, Nivea, Braun, and Garnier.
Here are a few reasons to add Miravia to the list of marketplaces you could start selling.
As we mentioned earlier, Miravia is the talk of the town. One of the main reasons is due to the significant investment made by the Alibaba group for its launch. Therefore, if we add the lack of competition to the strong advertising investment being made, we have the perfect combination to decide to sell on Miravia.
One of Miravia's objectives is to offer more visibility to local sellers and national brands. One way to achieve this is by providing the possibility of creating official stores, where brands can design their own stores or virtual showcases, allowing all the products of a particular brand to be found in one place. Needless to say, this offers extra visibility to brands compared to retailers or intermediaries.
These official stores make navigation within the products of the same brand much easier, creating a more personalized and unified shopping experience.
Moreover, as Jorge Peláez, CEO of Farma2go, mentions in the following success story, Miravia gives much more visibility to the seller. In other marketplaces, the seller is much more unnoticed, and the purchase is practically anonymous. However, on Miravia, the seller has much more prominence.
If you want to sell on Miravia, there will be no fixed costs associated. You will only pay commissions on what you sell, and these commissions are cheaper than on other major marketplaces. They range from 6% to 15% depending on the category and the type of seller. This allows you to try the platform without fixed costs and without needing to invest a lot of money.
Additionally, they offer the option to handle logistics (Delivery by Miravia), which can be a more convenient option for many sellers. In fact, this is the default option offered.
To sell on Miravia, you should keep in mind that there are two types of stores:
Mall or Official Store: This type of store is exclusively for brands. Therefore, if you are not the brand owner or do not have exclusive distribution rights, this option is not for you.
Marketplace: This is the model we can find in other marketplaces like Amazon. It is designed for multi-brand sellers.
Like most marketplaces, Miravia offers two types of logistics channels:
To sell on Miravia, the options recommended by the marketplace itself are DBM and LDM. Additionally, these offer the most advantages:
The registration process to become a Miravia Seller is very simple.
A fundamental step when selling on Miravia and setting up your store is integrating your catalog with this marketplace.
There are different ways to do this. You can do it manually or through one of the modules offered by your CMS. However, we warn you that these options will neither be the easiest to implement nor will they yield the best results.
There is also a way to integrate, optimize, and synchronize the catalog with Miravia automatically. At Channable, we have developed catalog integration with Miravia so that you can manage your catalog and orders centrally and without complications.
Once you are a Miravia Seller, you can connect your catalog to Miravia through our API connection.
Once the listing is configured, you can start sending products to Miravia. If there is any error in the product publication, a description of the error will appear, which you must resolve in the rules.
To sell on Miravia, in addition to integrating your catalog with Miravia, it is also essential to add the order connection. This will allow you to manage all the orders coming from Miravia directly from the backend of your online store (regardless of whether it is developed with Magento, Shopify, or PrestaShop).
By managing all orders from a single place (you can use the order connection for other marketplaces like Amazon or Zalando, for example), you will maintain better control over your orders, save time managing them, and keep your stock synchronized with Miravia.
Miravia is a marketplace based on listings, so each seller has a different product page. Therefore, who will have greater visibility in search results? Of course, the one with the most optimized product page.
What kind of improvements can you make on the product page to stand out and surpass the competition?
Using marketing tools on Miravia is key to increasing the visibility of your products. These tools are diverse and through them, sellers have the opportunity to highlight new products, offer special discounts, or feature best-selling products. All these tools are available in the Seller Center (Marketing section). The types of tools available are:
One of its advantages is that it allows organizing campaigns to be more personalized as needed. One of the most important aspects of these tools is that Miravia offers you an 'Exclusive Dashboard' where you can analyze the most important metrics of your store and products so that sellers can make data-driven decisions.
In the Seller Center, sellers have access to a training center called Miravia Academy, available to all sellers, where you can find all kinds of content from webinars and tutorials to infographics to become an expert on the platform.
The answer is yes, for some months now, sellers/brands from the following countries can open a store on Miravia: France, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Italy, Ireland.
Currently, Miravia is only available to Spanish consumers, but the Spanish market has shown exponential growth, up to 20% year after year in recent years, unlike the European market which has stagnated. Additionally, the Spanish market is worth over 40 billion euros, with an internet penetration rate of 90%. The age group that shops online the most is 16-34, which coincides with Miravia's target audience. Spanish consumers place an average of 4.7 orders per month, and more than 62% use marketplaces to search for products, with eight out of ten purchasing through these channels. This makes it a market with favorable conditions.
For these types of sellers, last-mile logistics becomes critical. Therefore, these sellers can activate our fulfillment service (LDM) as long as they verify that they have a Spanish VAT or operate through their own logistics (DBS) from their warehouses. In this regard, all we require is that the order preparation should be completed within 24 business hours and shipping time should be within a maximum of 5 days. We are increasingly seeing success stories from sellers in these countries and across various categories.
If you want to know more details about our integration with this new marketplace, we encourage you to request a demo with one of our experts. Or if you prefer, you can also create a trial account in the tool.
