Channable is a tool that can convert your XML to CSV (or even your Google Spreadsheet or TXT file), but the tool can be used for much more than just converting a file. This data feed management tool is perfect for managing, editing and working on your data. It will give you all the freedom to tweak your data in the easiest way possible and convert from many different types of files to a custom CSV or other. Channable can be THE solution for these issues: you face problems such as modifying data in hundreds of different Excel files, you have to combine data from different files with a different format, or you are facing difficulties editing fields in your file with the Excel formulas, etc.
You can easily import your XML to convert it into a CSV later on. This is not the only supported format: XML, CSV, TXT or Google Spreadsheet are also accepted. The big advantage of Channable is that you can import more than one file and all of them can be with a totally different format. This is very useful if your data is spread across many files that are in different formats. Simply, import, combine or merge your XML, CSV, TXT or Google Spreadsheet.
Have a look at a short instruction here:
One of the best features in Channable is the rule section. In that section, you can easily manage your data. This can be done with our IF-THEN statements, which are extremely powerful and yet so easy to use.
This is one idea on how to use the rules within Channable but the possibilities are endless and it is way more user-friendly than Excel. If you want more ideas on what can be done, check out our guides.
Once you’ve modified the data within the rules section, you can either export all the fields or select which ones you want to export to your new CSV. This way, you’ll avoid having too many useless fields in your newly made custom CSV file. Furthermore, decide in which order you want your data or what will be the names of the columns.
There are more conversion options in Channable than just XML to CSV; you can also create a TXT file, another XML file (also a unescaped XML file), a JSON file or even a RSS feed.
